“Twilight Zone” Original Series Coming To Big Screen

Six Episodes and a Documentary Will Play In Theaters This November

Today, Fathom Events announced that they are bringing six classic episodes of “The Twilight Zone” along with a new documentary in celebrating of the iconic series’ 60th Anniversary.

“The Twilight Zone: A 60th Anniversary Celebration” will be presented at participating theaters for one-night-only on Thursday, November 14th. The first part will be the showing of “six  quintessential episodes” that are digitally restored followed by an all new documentary titled “Remembering Rod Serling.” As the title suggests, the documentary will give the viewers an in depth look at the life and career of Serling and how he created a series that is filled with thought-provoking and visionary storytelling with many twists and turns.

In a press release, CBS Home Entertainment EVP Ken Ross said, “The incredible mind of Rod Serling led to some of the most incredible moments ever created for television and selecting these episodes was both a great pleasure and a responsibility we took seriously, knowing how much the series means to a generation of fans.”

Ray Nutt, CEO of Fathom Entertainment added, “‘The Twilight Zone’ has inspired many filmmakers and storytellers,  so it is a great honor to be able to bring these classic stories to the big screen, and to offer such an incisive look into the mind of the man who created them.”

The six episodes that will be presented at the special are:

  • “Walking Distance” –  A man travels back in time to his childhood, arriving just a few miles away from his native town.*
  • “Time Enough At Last” – A henpecked book lover finds himself blissfully alone with his books after a nuclear war.*
  • “The Invaders – When a woman investigates a clamor on the roof of her rural house, she discovers a small UFO and little aliens emerging from it. Or so it seems.*
  • “The Monsters Are Due On Maple Street” – On a peaceful suburban street, strange occurrences and mysterious people stoke the residents’ paranoia to a disastrous intensity.*
  • “Eye Of The Beholder” – A young woman lying in a hospital bed, her head wrapped in bandages, awaits the outcome of a surgical procedure performed by the State in a last-ditch attempt to make her look “normal.”*
  • “To Serve Man” – An alien race comes to Earth, promising peace and sharing technology. A linguist and his team set out to translate the aliens’ language, using a book whose title they deduce is “To Serve Man”.*
