HOGZILLA ONE STEP CLOSER TO BROADCASTING

Will it be featured in the next season of “The Last Drive In”?

By: Adam Cook

For those that watched the first full season of The Last Drive In, Shudder’s hit original show which features the return of Drive-In Movie Critic and Host Joe Bob Briggs this past Spring, you may remember a conversation that was brought up by a letter from a viewer which mentioned a bizarre monster flick which featured Briggs himself as the star titled Hogzilla. Since then fans have been petitioning Shudder on acquiring a copy of the movie to be broadcast for a future episode. There’s been an update regarding this from a very reliable source.

The hottest mail lady in the country Diana Prince ( aka Darcy The Mail Girl) posted on her Twitter account last night in response to a post asking about the status of getting Hogzilla played, she replied with the following:

“I have in my possession a full and complete version of #Hogzilla…I just have to get the director to sign off on it, & we’re in the bizniz, baby!!!”

It seems the last hurdle that Shudder and the team need to go through into answering the prayers of fans who desperately want to see this is obtaining permission from Diane Jacques, who not only directed the movie but wrote it.

Released straight to video in 2014, Hogzilla is about a tabloid news crew who venture into the woods of Florida in order to investigate a legendary feral hog that has occupied the area for a long time. They get more than what they bargained for when they go after it. Briggs (credited in the movie by his real name, John Bloom) plays Andy McGraw, who denies the existence of the creature, but rather there’s “demons, devils and other creepy things!”

You can check out the trailer for Hogzilla below! Stay tuned for more information regarding this story!
